IND vs BAN T20 World Cup Warm-Up match

India beat Bangladesh by 60 runs in the last warm-up game in the T20 World Cup 2024. After winning the toss India chose to bat. Virat did not play the match, in his absence Rishabh Pant was promoted to the 3rd position.

Rohit and Sanju Samson came to the crease. Sanju and Rohit struggled in the initial stage, as the pitch was totally new and bouncy like Oval. Both the openers faced challenges to middle the ball with the bat.

After playing 6 balls Sanju Samson got out on a length ball by Shoriful Islam. After one and a half years later Pant is back in blue Jersey. He did not upset his fans, he launched every ball into the crowd. Pant completed his fifty in just 32 balls with a healthy strike rate of 165.

Surya Kumar Yadav and Rohit continued their innings but still, Rohit was not able to middle the ball with his bat. As a result after hitting two big shots, the Indian skipper got out in search of boundaries.

Throughout Rohit’s innings, Rohit looked desperate for boundaries and tried to hit the ball with power. Lack of confidence showed in Rohit’s body language. Though he played some big hits and deposited the ball into the crowd. Surya played a decent inning of 31 runs in 18 balls. For Mumbai Indians, Suraya only scored 345 runs including a century on it.

Kung-fu-Pandya is back

After Rohit’s wicket, Hardik came into the crease. Hardik struggled with his batting form throughout the IPL 2024. He was trolled for his captaincy, bowling & batting also.

But, Hardik proved his worth for team India, why he is the big player for big moments. Hardik smashed bowlers everywhere only dealing with boundaries. He hit three back-to-back sixes.

In IPL 2024 Hardik scored only 216 with an average of 18. So, this inning in this IND vs BAN warm-up game will boost his confidence level a bit.

Will Shivam Dube be a big blunder for team India in the T20 WC, 2024?

Shivam Dube was selected for this team because of his power hitting, especially against spinners. Dube scored so many runs in IPL 2023 for CSK with his batting.

But in the IND vs BAN, match Dube seemed not to be in rhythm in terms of batting. After being selected Dube got out two times in duck, in IPL 2024. He scored 396 runs for CSK in this IPL 2024.

But still, he struggled to find his batting form. Shivam Dube’s form is one of the most important factors for the team, in this T20 World Cup. He has to play bold cricket for Team India.

Though Dube failed with bat, he picked up two wickets in 3 overs and just gave 13 runs. That is a good sign for team India as an extra bowler.

Will Virat open with Rohit?

Virat did not play the warm-up match against Bangladesh. There is also no Yashasvi Jaiswal for the warm-up match. The cause Rohit opened with Sanju.

So, many questions arise about Virat’s playing position for the T20 World Cup 2024. Sanjay Manjaker gave his opinion on that also he said ” Virat should open with Rohit, as he scored many runs for RCB in that same position. Rishabh should be promoted for no 3rd, in my opinion”

Many experts also said the same thing about Virat’s playing position. Well, we have to wait till IND vs IRD match on 5th June.

Bangladesh’s Poor Batting

In this IND vs BAN, warm-up match Bangladesh used 8 bowlers in the first innings. But failed to stop Hardik & Pant’s storm to put 194 on the scoreboard.

After India’s innings, it clearly seemed that this wicket was not easy to bat. But Bangladesh batters made it the worst, as they lost their early wickets. Bangladesh’s batters made only 122 runs after 20 overs.

So, it is very concerning for them to judge the wicket conditions well. Both teams played their first World Cup here in the USA. Apart from this India scored almost 200 runs but Bangladesh failed to give a fight at least.

Though Mahmudullah batted really well and scored 40 in just 23 balls. Shakib played a supportive innings with him as well with 28 runs.

There lack of fighting spirit for Bangladesh’s Team. Hope they will learn something new from this IND vs BAN warm-up game and will bounce back. Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka on 7th June 2024.

IND vs BAN, Arshdeep Singh, Bumrah & Siraj With the golden arm

Indian pacers bowled really well as Arshdeep Singh picked up 2 wickets by giving just 12 runs in his three-over spell.

Siraj bowled well though but he seemed to lack of confidence in his bowling and failed to hit the perfect yorkers.

Bumrah with his best picked up one wicket in the last over. He bowled two overs and gave only 12 runs.
