Chandu Champion is a biopic movie based on the true story of Mr. Murlikant Petkar, the man who won the first-ever gold medal in Heidelberg, Germany, for the 50 m freestyle swimming. This biographical sports drama movie was written and directed by Kabir Khan, and produced by produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Chandu Champion Story Of Murlikant Petkar
In 1944 on 1st November Murlikat Petkar was born in a small village of Maharsta called Peth Islampur region of Sangli. Since his childhood, Murlikant Petkar had a dream of winning the gold medal for India. In early Mr.Petkar was fascinated by “Kusti”. He defeated the son of a landlord and had to leave his own village.
Later Mr. Petkar started working in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) in the Indian Army. This is the beginning of a new chapter of his life. From that, he met Tiger Ali, a trainer for boxing, and Mr. Petkar got the opportunity to represent India at the International Services Sports Meet in 1964 in Tokyo. He was so close to winning the championship for India but was defeated badly in the Final Round.
After Tokyo, he transferred to Secunderabad and Murlikant Petkar started hardcore training with Tiger Ali to be an Armour because he wanted to take participate in Nationals.
In 1969 in the war between India & Pakistan, unfortunately, he found himself in his darkest phase of life. During the war, he saved others’ lives but in a sudden bomb blast Mr, Petkar lost his ability to walk and got paralyzed.
Murlikant Petkar almost forgot about his dream after this incident, But his trainer Tiger Ali knew Petkar’s limit and will-power thus he pushed Petakar to his limits and suggested him to take participate in 50 m freestyle swimming in the Paralympic, in Heidelberg, Germany, in 1972.
In his Biopic “Chandu Champion” this inspiring scene was captured so nicely, that anybody would fall into tears. Mr. Petkar won the first-ever Gold Medal in Paralympics for the 50 m freestyle swimming.
This heart-wobbling story will nobody know if a film like “Chandu Champion” never made.

In life also we are just depressed over simple things and let things happen as it is. We didn’t take any action to improve our mistakes. Rather than we just pretend to be ok with it.
