Asia Cup 2012 India Vs Pakistan:: Despite being flopped in batting India still managed to chase the target, as Virat roars with 183

In the 2012 Asia Cup, India’s bowling performance was a big concern for management. In the previous match against Bangladesh India failed to defend a winning total of 289. Bangladesh won with five wickets remaining.

In today’s match, India also totally flopped in bowling. There lack of consistency to bowl in good length and they are not disciplined in using the pitch condition to bowl according to that.

On the other hand, Pakistan picked up their first wicket as Gautam Gambhir dismissed in a duck. India looked really in big trouble on that stage. Because in a big chase of 329 is not easy for any team until it’s done. Same with team India, maybe India had a good batting depth in the lower order also, but to reach that finish line need to build a partnership like Pakistan which they did exactly in the first innings.

“You might control the situation before it controls you” we heard that many times. Virat Kohli refused to give up he came up to bat. The little master his Idol was still in the crease. Sachin guided him well to calm down and focus on his innings rather than to think about falling wickets.

It was pleasant to see how the Legend Sachin Tendulkar and young Virat played according to the situation.

Sachin Tendulkar, the seasoned maestro, and Virat Kohli, the young prodigy, approached their batting partnership with a combination of wisdom, skill, and mutual respect, showcasing a masterclass in building a formidable alliance at the crease.

Sachin Tendulkar, the seasoned maestro, and Virat Kohli, the young prodigy, approached their batting partnership with a combination of wisdom, skill, and mutual respect, showcasing a masterclass in building a formidable alliance at the crease. Effective communication was key to their partnership. They constantly exchanged ideas, shared insights, and provided support to each other, fostering a sense of camaraderie and trust on the field.

Tendulkar and Kohli capitalized on loose deliveries and punished the bowlers for any errors, gradually building momentum and taking control of the innings. They build a very crucial 100-run partnership in 92 balls.

But Pakistan struck again as they the spin wizard Saeed Ajmal took the wicket of well-settled Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar got out after scoring a fifty, he scored 52 in 48 balls.

Virat Scored His Odi’s Best of 183, in Asia Cup 2012 India Vs Pakistan match no.5

Virat calculated his innings very well. After Gautam’s dismissal in the very first over he showed his character with, skills, patience, and dedication. As he built a partnership with Sachin Tendulkar gave him confidence and belief to conquer Pakistan.

He scored another hundred in just 92 balls. But the hunger for winning, to score more runs pumped him like a steam engine. He was in a zone, where he just not hitting balls for boundaries but also hitting good balls for boundaries, there was no mercy for any bowlers.

Virat got support also from Rohit Sharma as well. That time Rohit was not an opener, he used to play in the 4th position, after Sachin’s retirement he got promoted to a role as an opener and the rest is the history we know all. Rohit played a balanced innings of 68 runs with Virat.

These two youngsters showed good temperament as they scored 100 runs partnership for 3rd wicket.

Kohli’s inning was a testament to his dominance at the crease, as he dictated terms to the opposition bowlers and single-handedly took the game away from Pakistan. His unwavering focus and hunger for runs were evident throughout his innings still after Rohit’s dismissal.

In between his ability to rotate strike and find boundaries kept the scoreboard ticking and put pressure on the Pakistani bowlers.

Still, Virat’s 183 inning was a perfect example of spectacle, a display of sheer skill, determination, and mental fortitude that left a mark in Worldwide Cricket and will continue to.

India won the match by six wickets. I will be reminded of one of the greatest runs chased in cricket history and also of Virat’s Great 183 knock. Just after that legends called him The “run Machine”, “King Kohli” and many more adjectives to define this younstar’s greatness.

Virat Kohli is a perfect idol for any young cricketer, for what he contributes to his Country with the bat. After Sachin Tendulkar, right now Virat has the International hundreds and counting. No doubt without Virat India’s top order will not fill. No one can fill the gap.
