BCCI bans Hardik Pandya ahead of T20 World Cup

Hardik Pandya & company played with a very slow over rate, for this act BCCI slapped the captain of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya as BCCI bans him.

On 17th May, Mumbai Indians played their last match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday night. Mumbai Indians couldn’t touch the finish line of 215 inside 20 over.

IPL 2024 was the worst season ever played by Mumbai Indians, it’s just over now as Mumbai Indians played their last match against Lucknow Super Giants. 

Fans expected them to finish this season with a winning knock but Mumbai Indians failed to do that as they lost their last match with 18 runs left, they couldn’t chase the target of 215 runs given by LSG and lost.

During this match, Mumbai Indians look-hide in the shadow of a lack of confidence. They are not in a zone, somehow they are able to play after all.

But after the match when BCCI announced that Hardik Pandya was his team’s third offense of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses, Pandya was fined Rs. 30 lakhs and banned from playing the team’s next match” and also “The rest of the members of the playing XI, including the Impact Player, were each individually fined either Rs.12 lakh or 50 percent of their respective match fees, whichever is lesser.”

BCCI bans Haridk Pandya

LSG got momentum on their last match for this season, for a fiery knock of 75 on just 29 balls by Nicholas Pooran, helped them to beat Mumbai Indians. 

KL Rahul as well was unable to play with a high Strike rate, he played a decent inning of  55(41) with a strike rate of 134.15.

As rumors whispered in ears, Rohit Sharma might play his last match for Mumbai Indians. But he played well 68(38), giving a good vide ahead of the T20 World Cup, 2024.

Hardik will be Vice Captain in this upcoming T20 World Cup, 2024. But, his batting & bowling performance is a deep threat for team India. He will play all matches as he is the VC of team India. So, he needs to play well with bat and bowl. Also BCCI bans him in just ahead of WC 2024 hope this not affect his mindset.

Previously BCCI bans Rishab Pant, and Ms Dhoni as Well for conducting the IPL’s Code of conduct. 

KKR batter Ramadeep Singh was also found guilty of breaching the IPL Code of Conduct and subsequently fined 20% of his match fee. He played an explosive innings of 17 runs off eight balls against Mumbai Indians.
